Hanging out on the sofa on Saturday night, with computer, 2015 photo hard drive, and watching a hockey game. So hours to spend re-processing photos based on what I have learned from watching a YouTube on how to do more natural HDR. But then, I saw @rosiekerr 's post from yesterday of melting rainbow pencils and that was that. For the last hour, I've been melting all kinds of things from my photo library -- total fun! It's a filter in PS and easy to apply but doesn't work for many, if not most things. Check out Rosie's pencils which to me really use it well - http://365project.org/rosiekerr/365/2016-02-05 . This was the one I thought looked the least ridiculous of my results -- which says something.
Thanks for sharing the fun in finding the Red Hatted Runner. I tried to respond to each of you who couldn't find him, but just in case...I did post directions for finding him in the photo.
Very abstract and wicked PS, love the effect. Another one of your photos that inspire me and I will try to emulate in the future. Thanx for sharing your fabulous photo.
@taffy That's how I was with Ribbet's "Hypnotic" effect. I can't tell you how many shots I processed with that one- I just didn't post them all! The only way I broke the habit was Ribbet started to charge for "premium" which included Hypnotic. By that time I'd bought Smart Photo Editor and I didn't think Ribbet was worth the $50 they were originally going to charge. But I do miss that effect...!
Ha ha that sounds like me when I find a fun effect like this. Sometimes it's the ones you don't really expect to work which produce the most pleasing results. Very cool effect and I like Tunia's Titanic analogy. @tunia
