Thanks for our enthusiastic response to the lone traveler -- very much appreciated!
I returned to the park sculpture I've posted in the past thinking it might be interesting for the flashofred b&w theme. Light cooperated -- even some clouds. Processed in Photomatix (3 bracketed) and blur added in picmonkey. I wanted to emphasize the path through the arches.
This works very well in b/w too!

Excellent

love it!!
February 11th, 2016
Fabulous what a great shot. You wouldn't want to walk through there if you were a bit tipsy would you.
February 11th, 2016
This is beautiful and I love the focus!
February 11th, 2016
neat framing
February 11th, 2016
This is wonderful Taffy! Love what you have done with the blur! Your eye is taken along the path to the end. Very clever processing! Fav!
February 11th, 2016
Super framing and processing
February 11th, 2016
Brilliant capture...looks great in b/w
February 11th, 2016
Fabulous b and w. What great architecture you have to capture
February 11th, 2016
Love the way you have processed this Taffy It really draws your eye to the path through the arches.
February 11th, 2016
Such an intriguing scene. Makes a great b&w.
February 11th, 2016
Very effective use of blur and like the mood created
February 11th, 2016
I think this version is probably the best you have done of this sculpture... your processing achieved the result you were looking for.
February 11th, 2016
Love your processing - it works really well.
February 11th, 2016
I really love this sculpture, and I like the blur taking your eye down the path.
February 11th, 2016
Looks great, works well!
February 11th, 2016
Interesting sculpture. Love the dof here. Perfect in b&w.
February 11th, 2016
terrific use in the framing.fav
February 11th, 2016
Love it, and i like the added blur. What a great sculpture.

Rob
Great shot - did you use a long exposer as the sky seems to be moving? So much is in focus too. Great
February 11th, 2016
How do you find all these awesome places to shoot!!
February 11th, 2016
lovely b&w shot and the extra frames make it even better!well done :)
February 11th, 2016
Wonderful B&W shot.
February 11th, 2016
The blur works so well, to focus the viewer's eye down the path. Lovely repeating shapes and dramatic cityscape in the background.
February 11th, 2016
Taffy this is a very cool shot! Love this structure :)
February 11th, 2016
Super capture, perspective, lines
February 11th, 2016
Surrealistic and dreamlike! Wonderful!
February 11th, 2016
Interesting in that although the frames take you through the image, as there is no focal point there, by eye then switches to the tower on the left and then travels through the image again. So a strong clash between the vector provided by the frames and the tower as a focal point.
February 11th, 2016
Wonderful shot.
February 11th, 2016
Great lines pov and processing
February 11th, 2016
Great shot
February 11th, 2016
Great lines and angles, a super b/w shot. Fav! 😃
February 11th, 2016
Well seen with these angular uncomfortable structures to make this city more aesthetic or more hostile?
February 11th, 2016
I like how the arches draw my eye through the shot to the buildings in the background. Cool lighting on the buildings as well.
February 11th, 2016
The lines and patterns make this great for b&w lovely processing
February 11th, 2016
I really enjoyed this sculpture in your earlier post. Glad to see it again. I like how you worked with it. Very nice!
February 11th, 2016
great in bnw :-)

Tom
Wonderful, great pov and framing
February 11th, 2016
This is great Taffy I really like the blur around the outside and the sharp detail in the centre.
February 11th, 2016
Works a treat in several ways Taffy. The pathway through the angular sculptures is a great point of initial focus, then when the eye wanders around there's a perfectly framed view of a tall building. Good use of blur too. Definitely a fave for me.
February 11th, 2016
worked perfectly. i love this multi-opening passageway. i like the tallest building pointing up at the corner of the first frame. that's nice positioning. like a candle flame.
February 12th, 2016
Amazing capture...great pov with such creative framing. Beautiful city scape.
February 12th, 2016
incredible Taffy! Fav.
February 12th, 2016
Excellent capture:)!
February 12th, 2016
Cool once again...though I find the cut off corners distracting. I bet there wasn't another otion

Thanks for the advice. Am struggling through layers at the moment -- working on canvas sizing and how to create a layer (got stuck -- could create duplicates of a photo, but had to start over and bring in two as layers to do foreground and background. But it's fun! Yep, for this shot it was either massive distortion or no corners, or walking home, getting super WA, walking back and hoping the weather stayed good enough. I went with cropped corners! Thanks for all your help today!
February 12th, 2016
I know you appreciate feedback. I don't find the cutoff corners distracting as I feel "inside" that particular one. I really find it a bold photo.
February 12th, 2016
Well captured
February 12th, 2016
I like how you see things
February 12th, 2016
Stunning picture and perspective. Congratulations on making the Trending Page and the PP. Well deserved.
February 12th, 2016
Great image and editing!
February 12th, 2016
The blur is a great addition! And I like your low pov of the repeating shapes
of the sculpture. Like seeing through a maze.
February 12th, 2016
Cool shot, love the abstract look and feel...Fav!
February 12th, 2016
Great shot - love the POV and the processing.
February 12th, 2016
What an interesting structure and I like the use of blur to add a kind of vignette to draw you in to the image.
February 12th, 2016
Wow. Superbly composed. A big fav.
February 12th, 2016
Great POV leading the viewer through the shot and great editing Taffy! Is it easy to do that blur?
February 12th, 2016
Fabulous PoV.
February 12th, 2016
Blur is a snap in picmonkey and in Photoshop, it's easy once you remember which way to do it -- there are tons of choices there!
February 12th, 2016
Wow! Great pov! Great processing! I love everything about this!!
February 12th, 2016
Fabulous capture. This sculpture is very interesting.
February 12th, 2016
Brilliant capture and love the processing
February 13th, 2016
Fantastic capture. I recognizedd this, as you said, from one of your earlier posts but you have processed it beautifully and it does emphasise the path through
February 13th, 2016
Stunning! Love it in black-and-white. FAV
February 13th, 2016
Neat composition
February 13th, 2016
Very nice. Despite the leading lines of the squares towards the middle of the shot, I still think you naturally look up at the tower.
February 14th, 2016
Absolutely fav-tastic!
February 14th, 2016
This is just fantastic! Perfect framing - such a neat POV!

Hello Taffy R . Just to let you know I have included this photograph in the Final 6 of the February Town 2016 Competition. Many Thanks for entering and Good Luck. Regards Stephen .
February 23rd, 2016
I Love: the composition, the sharpness in the center and blur around edges, all the shades of black, white, and gray, the way the striking tall black building points right at the top left corner of the front rectangle of the sculpture. A photo I can wander around in a long time.
February 23rd, 2016
@stephenfox Wow -- thanks Stephen!
