@rosiekerr You've had one really long day! I left the group after lunch to get some work done and also do graduation (glad I went). It was great having you here!
I like it without the water it allows the eye to see more detail like the pattern running round the inside and the drain holes etc. Although it might look pretty with water I think without gives another dimension particularly in B&W. Fav
This is just beautiful. I love it without water - as Richard says it allows you to see all the detail of the actual fountain. So lovely in black and white and I like the symmetry.
I recognise this!! Such beautiful deco shape. The B&W real allows us to see the detail. Fav! Such an interesting tour and I learned a lot. I had my fisheye lens on so I will be interested to see what I managed to capture!! The Chicago architecture has been such a revelation to see and learn about. I am so glad I read the book you recommended "The Devil in the White City" (not sure that is the correct title) It gave such a good background before we came.
Fascinating art deco fountain, wonderful lines. The absence of water shows off the fountain very well. I like the processing a lot, gives a rather other-worldly glow to the centrepiece.
I know this fountain so well, but loved that I had to take a second look at this capture to figure our where it was. Beautiful b&w processing, I really like how you have faded out the people around the fountain whilst still leaving them there to give a human element!
