We finally had a bright sunny day so even with the frigid temperature, it was great to be outside with my camera. This was taking at one end of the Washington Blvd overpass looking east to Chicago's downtown business district.
I know I can't only do b&w for the month so will use my extras for the occasional color image: https://365project.org/taffy/the-also-ran-ph/2017-02-02
Lovely image! Makes me realize the only way I could "happily" do B&W for a month would be to have a subject like "shadows". I enjoy seeing what others do, but I just can't do it much...
Fabulous shadows and contrasts!! I am thinking that Chicago is a wonderful place to be when doing a B&W month!! Urban landscape lends itself to B&W!! Booking my ticket now!! Fav!!
@pamknowler Come back anytime! You know now how easy it is. Hotel bargains are always available. And I'm mostly around til mid-March. Dress warm and you can do anything!
@jamibann That's a great description -- fits the situation/scene well, I think! @vignouse Haha -- it was around lunchtime, but not an area where folks would be walking during that time of day as there's not much in the way of offices or shops on either side (the bridge is over the main highway that basically is the western edge of the city). I'm walking toward the commuter train station in fact.
