Like Ships Passing in the Night, or Not

Thank you all for your well wishes! I'm sure they helped as I'm improving greatly. Will be very happy when the cough goes away, but energy is coming back. Still not getting out, so here's yet one more shot from Andie's @ukandie1 and my photowalk. It's strange to have a 'favorite' parking structure, but I think this has to be the one!
More snow arriving...it's feeling ridiculous.
This has a great gritty city feel to it! And I love the organic way the trains slice through the straight lines of the buildings.

sweek shot!

March 14th, 2017
Terrific b/w HDR! FAV!
March 14th, 2017
@skipt07 Thanks!! Just clarifying -- not HDR, but processed in Silver Efex.
March 14th, 2017
@taffy - Sorry. To me it has that subtle look of an HDR! Especially on the cars.
March 14th, 2017
@skipt07 Ah...I see what you mean! I would use HDR in situations like this if I could -- but with the moving trains, I was using the continuous shutter setting instead.
March 14th, 2017
Wonderful tones and lines.
March 14th, 2017
Nice shot Taffy. Rest up....
March 14th, 2017
Glad you are feeling better. On the bright side, you are posting some very nice shots.
March 14th, 2017
Incredible picture and perspective.
March 14th, 2017
Lovely capture. Nice composition and lighting.
March 14th, 2017
Love the pov and light, the overall composition too - terrific shot!
March 14th, 2017
Great capture
March 14th, 2017
Nice shot - love the way the trains look coming through the buildings.
March 14th, 2017
This looks so 1930, the buildings and the color make it so. Amazing.

Trains are amazing - they really look like they shouldn't be able to go around corners when they are rectangle shape!
March 14th, 2017
I love trains. Wonderful, how they "worm" their way through the unforgiving buildings. Silver Efex works a treat on this shot. I hope you can hang in there for your upcoming trip, which sounds exciting and taxing together.
March 14th, 2017
Excellent capture! Love the curve of the trains through the image.
March 14th, 2017
I especially like the light hitting the tops of the trains which shows the texture! Great lines.
March 14th, 2017
Terrific capture of horizontal and vertical lines...I hope you feel better soon :).
March 14th, 2017
I can empathise with you over the "forever " cough -- same here and it does wear one out ! -- hope you will be better soon . Great pov and capture of the trams squeezing their way between the tall buildings - so clear in B/W
March 14th, 2017
Your processing is perfect - great choice! I love the way the trains bend round those corners! What a fabulous viewpoint you have found! Fav! Glad you are on the mend! You need your strength for yet another move and that fabulous holiday! Take care!
March 14th, 2017
Another awesome shot, a fav.
March 14th, 2017
This is super. It does make you wonder how these trains stay on the tracks, going round bends at such close proximity.
March 14th, 2017
snakelike. very cool
March 14th, 2017
I love all the lines and patterns :)
March 14th, 2017
Fab shot! I had that same crud before Christmas, and it does hang on. And we're getting the same storm, so I can relate. We just have to hunker down until it all passes. If only we had something to do...
March 14th, 2017
Wonderful
March 14th, 2017
This is so cool- they remind me of toy trains.
March 14th, 2017
Wonderful B&W shot.
March 14th, 2017
Excellent photography as always. Great shot showing us "country" people what it's like in the city! The trains are so close to the buildings and it looks so crowded to me!
March 14th, 2017
Lee
The B&W suits the scene especially the trains.
March 14th, 2017
Awesome shot
March 14th, 2017
@lynnz This particular part of the city is getting more and more dense with an incredible amount of construction still going up.
March 14th, 2017
Hope you're feeling better. Silver Efex is amazing and you've used it beautifully. The composition and timing are perfect, too. Fav!
March 14th, 2017
you certainly had a frutful time on your photowalk at the station. All of the shots you have posted have been really interesting and enjoyable to view. This puts the trains so intimately amongst the buildings.
March 14th, 2017
Fantastic capture!
March 14th, 2017
Superb b&w. Full of character. Fav
March 14th, 2017
I`m glad I don`t live in this area. Great shot of the place and trains.
March 14th, 2017
It seems like they can bump each other so easily but they don't. Such an awesome view!
March 14th, 2017
Great shot
March 14th, 2017
Great shot!!! Chuckling at your ' favorite parking structure'...so many possibilities, can't wait to do some long exposure shots from here!
March 14th, 2017
I love the lines in this. We develop many favs in this project I think!
March 14th, 2017
Wonderful pic!
March 14th, 2017
AC
Beautiful lines and patterns!
March 14th, 2017
I had no idea that the trains wound around so tightly like that. Interesting shot for me.
March 15th, 2017
@888rachel Apparently, when the L system went in, there were required 'workarounds' in some areas where there were churches and other major buildings or landowners who wouldn't sell. This may be one of the examples of that -- and then with all the building going up, it gets tighter and tighter.
March 15th, 2017
Oh my goodness, those trains look scary close to each other. I really like all the lines and patterns in this image. FAV
March 15th, 2017
Wow just Wow ....
March 15th, 2017
Just as well they're on rails and can't deviate, they look awfully close. Another totally magic railway shot, so much to look at, lots of old buildings, a concrete monstrosity, and some trains. What more can one ask for? Sigh.
March 15th, 2017
Great lines and depth in this image, lovely in monochrome
March 15th, 2017
@skstein They are VERY close -- when I'm in one and this close, it definitely is unnerving!
March 16th, 2017
What a well-timed capture! Great lines, snaking through the city!
March 16th, 2017
Wonderful shine and clarity
March 17th, 2017
Ukandie directed me to this great shot. Well done. Great black & white.
