Thank you all for your well wishes! I'm sure they helped as I'm improving greatly. Will be very happy when the cough goes away, but energy is coming back. Still not getting out, so here's yet one more shot from Andie's @ukandie1 and my photowalk. It's strange to have a 'favorite' parking structure, but I think this has to be the one!
More snow arriving...it's feeling ridiculous.
@skipt07 Ah...I see what you mean! I would use HDR in situations like this if I could -- but with the moving trains, I was using the continuous shutter setting instead.
I love trains. Wonderful, how they "worm" their way through the unforgiving buildings. Silver Efex works a treat on this shot. I hope you can hang in there for your upcoming trip, which sounds exciting and taxing together.
I can empathise with you over the "forever " cough -- same here and it does wear one out ! -- hope you will be better soon . Great pov and capture of the trams squeezing their way between the tall buildings - so clear in B/W
Your processing is perfect - great choice! I love the way the trains bend round those corners! What a fabulous viewpoint you have found! Fav! Glad you are on the mend! You need your strength for yet another move and that fabulous holiday! Take care!
Fab shot! I had that same crud before Christmas, and it does hang on. And we're getting the same storm, so I can relate. We just have to hunker down until it all passes. If only we had something to do...
Excellent photography as always. Great shot showing us "country" people what it's like in the city! The trains are so close to the buildings and it looks so crowded to me!
you certainly had a frutful time on your photowalk at the station. All of the shots you have posted have been really interesting and enjoyable to view. This puts the trains so intimately amongst the buildings.
@888rachel Apparently, when the L system went in, there were required 'workarounds' in some areas where there were churches and other major buildings or landowners who wouldn't sell. This may be one of the examples of that -- and then with all the building going up, it gets tighter and tighter.
Just as well they're on rails and can't deviate, they look awfully close. Another totally magic railway shot, so much to look at, lots of old buildings, a concrete monstrosity, and some trains. What more can one ask for? Sigh.
