Document shot - no need to comment. Kitchen awaiting tile in left image, choosing stains in right image.
In town to make final choices on paint and floor stain, meet with electrician, pick up tile, choose blinds, design and order "Murphy wall bed" for guest room, order remaining needed light fixtures. Project is a week delayed as floors can't be stained until next week when all foot traffic will be barred from the unit.
This is going to be so wonderful Taffy! When all this planning and organising finally comes to an end you won't know what to do with yourself! Lol! Must investigate the Murphy wall bed as I haven't heard of it before.
Am experiencing construction/renovation at the present (new master bath in the works) so I 'feel' your pain and anxiety. The wait is worth it, we should be finished next week (8weeks into project). Always strange to see the bones of a room.
Document shots are great to be able to look back on and see the changes. Hope you're having fun with all the planning and looking forward to the finished product.
@joysabin Congrats on being near completion!! It will be totally worth it - I hope you post some photos of your project when it's done. The master bath is next on our list, but no energy (or $) to tackle for about a year, we think.
@pamknowler It's sort of cool...the bed is hidden behind what looks like a cabinet, and pulls down with a regular queen size (in the one we chose) bed on it. But when it's 'up', it looks like a wall unit. Ours will have 18" book cases on each side. It's great for a guest room that you want to also have look like a TV room or den when not set up as a guest one.
@ludwigsdiana Actually, now that we are finally into it, I find it mostly fun. Stressful only because I'm worried I'll make a bad choice and then have to live with it, but we've had some very helpful design folks so I'm feeling a little more confident.
No wonder you are not moved in. Looks like you are making progress though. What a long time getting to this point it has been. I imagine it will be beautiful.
I think Murphy's beds are neat and they have come a long way. Is your head spinning from all the choices. It is fun, exciting and scary all at once I bet.
