Faded Glory by taffy

Faded Glory

For a change of pace...it's that time of year here as we begin the move to autumn. Taken earlier and processed with Topaz Textures. Cleaned up in PS.
Thanks for all the fun comments on my water snake! Fortunately, there are no venomous snakes on the island, so it's safe to go up to any of them.
This has a really lovely feel to it - I love the light and the colouring and sense of movement.

@pamknowler Thanks Pam. I think it was one of the nature ones, but it was about 6 different ones that I used. Some of them I enlarged and only used a piece of, and others I changed the amount of opacity. In the end, I don't really know which was which -- but no new ones of late.

@Weezilou Thanks Louise! It does get to a point where I get tired of bugs, sunsets, snakes, etc. So this was fun to work on and feel a little more creative.

Is the background something you added afterwards then? I like it - the rust and peeling paint really suits the fading flower.
September 6th, 2017
Great processing, fav
September 6th, 2017
@casablanca Yes, I added the background using Topaz Textures. The actual background was a solid green from the shallow DoF which blurred the growth behind it.

The grungy textures are just right for the almost dead flower, an eloquent summary of the season.
