"Don't Leave, Play With Me!" by taffy

"Don't Leave, Play With Me!"

Sherlock makes another appearance, as he was quite engaging this morning as I packed for my flight back. I'm not sure whether he was sacrificing one of his tennis balls so I'd have a toy to take with me (maybe in thanks for playing with him yesterday?) OR getting my attention to continue throwing the ball for him. He is the most unrelenting 'fetcher' I've come across -- and that includes a lot of golden retrievers!
Thank you for your wonderful positive comments yesterday -- my mom will be in Chicago with us til Friday so hopefully will enjoy her time here.
I know that stance - had a dog that would constantly put the ball in front of me!

Oh this tells such a fantastic story! Love it! He obviously loves you Taffy and wants you to stay and carry on playing with him! The opposite of Finlay who if you throw a ball looks back at you as if to say “fetch? I’m not a retriever!” Fav for such a wonderful shot- love the sc too!

Poor thing, Sherlock knows everything and feels everything.
November 8th, 2017
What an adoring expressive look. How could you refuse?

Aw, that face! He really is giving you the big reproachful eyes, isn't he? C'mon Taffy, play with me for longer.......
November 8th, 2017
Sherlock looks so sad to see you are leaving.
November 8th, 2017
Oh I love this. He wanted you to stay and play ball, what a sweet fellow. Fav!

What a PERFECT use of selective coloring! I clicked on this to comment when I saw it on Trending -- before I knew it was yours! See you in a few hours.
November 8th, 2017
Somebodies going to miss you.
November 8th, 2017
aww, poor baby! He looks so sad.
November 8th, 2017
@hrs Haha...I couldn't resist and ended up stopping packing and playing with him again! He is so cute and cuddly.

@pamknowler Laughing at Finlay's description. Nutmeg used to like to have me throw balls for her. She'd amble over to 'find' the ball and then stand there proudly, waiting for me to come and get it. She had no clue about retrieving, but thought the game was one of finding something lost.

Such a cute shot that tells a story.

November 8th, 2017
What a sweet face!!
November 8th, 2017
love to pop of yellow and what a wonderful capture of him looking pleading at you.
November 9th, 2017
@helenm2016 Sherlock is brave and eventually crossed the shadows...or he was driven to do so by thoughts of someone throwing a ball!
November 9th, 2017
The message seems to me to be quite unambiguous Taffy, your caption says it all. Like your use of SC.
November 9th, 2017
He has the look of great expectation. Excellent capture. Fav
November 9th, 2017
What a well practiced "poor sad me" look. He's wonderful - hope the ball wasn't too grotty on your clothes!
November 9th, 2017

hahahaha - gorgeous!
November 12th, 2017
Awww amazing!!! I love this - his name, his face (his eyes!!), his gesture... He's too much. Love your use of sc...
November 12th, 2017
He looks like he has some or all Springer Spaniel in him and I know from experience how tenacious they are! Our family dog Pepper also had a look very similar to this- you just had to say Awwww when she put that face on! Cute shot.
November 15th, 2017
@olivetreeann He's an English Setter - a hunting dog that loves that 'work' but a total cuddler and ball retriever indoors.
November 15th, 2017
@taffy I think they're in the same class of dogs- not sure as I'm not an expert! I just remember the Goldens, Setters, Spaniels and a few others were all used in hunting for finding and retrieving the "trophy" or food in some cases.
