Water Tower from Above

It's awfully hard to come up with a unique image of Chicago's iconic water tower as you can see in this hundreds of google images - https://www.google.com/search?q=Chicago+water+tower&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjBveDt1czYAhUM3IMKHfzNDicQsAQIhQE&biw=1278&bih=730 - but this is my attempt anyway. Taken from the 95th floor of the Hancock building on Andie's and my visit yesterday.
@ukandie1 This was with my telephoto -- interesting how it sort of looks like a toy.

Interesting, original, and I'd never have guessed it was a water tower...

Well, there isnโ€™t one like yours! I like it a lot

95th Floor?!!!! Wow. Great shot Taffy - what an amazing water tower.

Love how it looks like a miniature model.

Such a beautiful piece of architecture! Beautifully portrayed by your image. The ghostly yellowish trees are intriguing - I'm assuming that they are lit up in that way - I could see the actual trees in the Google images. And, I believe your image leaves the Google ones for dead! I love the way you have isolated the tower from the overbearing buildings appearing in most of the other photos. Cheers

It looks like a children's story book cover to me - freaky yellow lightning coming at the tower with mysterious goings on inside.....

A different viewpoint to all those on the link, interesting to see how it looks from so high up! I like the trees too, a great colourful contrast to the building.

Just the perfect angle, from on high. Would love to see it in the spring when the trees leaf out. What a dramatic building!

I so love your city shots, Taffy. They are so well done and they show me a part of the world that is so different from where I live. This is beautifully done with such a fantastic POV. I love the gold trees - is that your touch or are they lit up. Wonderful to look so far down on such a tall building. Never would have guessed water tower! Big Fav.

Love your photo and the unexpected pov. If I had not read your explanation, I would never have guessed this building was in Chicago. It looks so exotic!

@robz Thanks for the visit, as always. Yes, these were the colors of the lights on the trees, but I think they look more yellow in this than when on street level. Maybe the reflective angle or polarization through the windows.

Wonderful silvery look to this building. Looks like a very interesting piece of architecture - or a cake with a tall top layer. Great shot, love it, especially the gold against the silver.

@nicolecampbell I like your interpretation! I hadn't thought of that.

You must be using a pretty long lens to get such detail from the 95th floor! This is a good pov for a different take on something photographed as much as this structure is. Good shot!
