Another shot taken at the end of the Chicago Architectural Foundation walking tour, in the Chicago Cultural Center (which was in the home of the Public Library until it moved literally to newly built quarters and figuratively into the 21st century). The three-level marble entryway continues to impress no matter how often I visit there.
Fisheye lens, processing in LR and Silver Efex
Very nice shot. I usually would process a shot like this with more contrast than you have, but I have to admit that this is really very nice. Gotta think about this one next time I do something similar.
Oh, I remember this place... I just love how you framed this up. The multiple layers of the stairs and arches are amazing. The fisheye lens is perfect!
Extraordinary shot Taffy, very cool indeed. Those flights of stairs are a little reminiscent of MC Escher or Hogwarts, or maybe both. Whatever, the whole scene is quite fascinating and certainly impressive. Love that fisheye effect.
@julzmaioro I know how lucky I am to have Chicago at my feet for photographing architecture. It's been fun learning how to do it. Thanks as always for the visit and comment!
A true Escher moment. fav
