Last one, I hope, ever from this POV! Taken early evening before the sun started setting, leaving the hospital to go home, get the car, pick up Jim's requests for dinner, and return to pick him up! Nice to be back at home together again. So, this is the daylight view of the sunrise and blue hour shots, end of the series of three. And thank you for the lovely comments and favs on the earlier two versions!
Such a great view looking towards the city with the wonderful skyline. Yes I hope we don’t see it again! Good news that Jim is home! Time for you both to relax after such a stressful time! Big hug xx
Ah, lovely - this somehow manages to look more dramatic than the other two. Probably the cloudscape and the definition on the buildings that does it. Delighted you have your man home again, always a lovely feeling. Wishing him a good and thorough recovery, which I am sure he will have now he is home with you again :)
A comparison with the previous image shows what a difference a short time and the change in light can make to a vista; there's two markedly different atmospheres. Love the 'going home' glow in the previous one and the muted colours and tones in this.
All good wishes to Jim for a speedy recovery.
Glad to hear all went well with Jim's surgery and that he's home- always a good feeling! And it's interesting to see these three photos side by side. They do a good job in showing how the lighting really affects a subject.
Even in straight daylight it makes a fabulous scene. Glad that the hospital stay is now over. On to recuperation - hope this is a smooth journey for you both.
The contrast between the two shot makes very interesting viewing for me. I especially like the old industrial(?) buildings on the immediate left of the road. I'm always a sucker for that kind of thing. Great news about Jim's return, no place like home.
@redy4et It did help...I hadn't planned to do a series and didn't even bring my camera. But each day looked so different and it was kind of fun to have the series from the different times of day. My favorite was the blue hour and I only saw it because the nurse had me leave the room so they could change a bandage or something (I had a reputation for being queasy so they'd have me leave occasionally -- lucky for me and catching that shot). And I do hope never to be up there again!!
All good wishes to Jim for a speedy recovery.
I'll remember that. Glad you two are home together.
