Third in the series of Honeycomb shots. I decided to post this one as it shows what the sculpture looks like in context. Previous two postings were taken underneath the honeycomb sculpture looking toward the city skyline and then an abstract from the side. This is South Pond at Lincoln Park in Chicago.
@lesip I think it was a group of school children who were on a field trip to the park. They seemed to be with a few adults who were herding them along the path.
Seeing this raises a question for me - why was this structure built - it doesn't seem to complement its surroundings - so I assume it must have some specific purpose?
It certainly is interesting. I'm probably alone in my thinking but it doesn't seem to fit to me. However, the close-up you took and the sky line view I really liked!
