On a night walking tour, I not only learned a lot about Charleston, but my guide took me to some amazing sites for photography. By far, my favorite was a mysterious garden that had quite the elaborate fountain (it seems that a garden is not considered to be complete here unless it has a fountain). Processed in Silver Efex. Charleston is a wonderful combination of historical events, architecture, and charm as well a great restaurants and beautiful gardens. Today was our last full day before we head out in the morning for 3 nights in Savannah.
Thanks, as always, for your lovely comments on my Washington DC images. Will return to these in the future, I'm sure!
Exquisite, Taffy. Have you read “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil”, by John Berendt? You will see the Bird Girl sculpture in Savannah, it’s on the cover of the book.
Fantastic- as in fantasy- night scene! My son visited Charleston when a friend was in culinary school there and really liked it. I've heard it's got so many beautiful homes. I guess this garden is attached to one of them!
Wonderful lighting! I loved this fountain and the charm of Charleston. Can't wait to see your Savanah pics. Just yesterday I booked a trip to DC, Charleston and Savanah for next Spring. Would love any tips on
what to see.
@redy4et I have a very detailed itinerary and will make some notes on it once we get back home. IF you are looking for a b&b in DC, the one bedroom we stayed in was the best appointed I've seen. Near downtown area and Mall (about a mile walk). I'll email it to you but may need your email address again. I had it at one point, I know.
