Stopped at the 9th hole to do something I very rarely do -- take a (shadow) selfie. The late afternoon light was wonderful, casting long shadows. Given how we were playing, we decided this would be a fun way to end the game. My photo-golf-pickleball-buddy is heading home tomorrow, the first to be leaving after the season. It's hard to believe summer is coming to a close.
How funny is this ... I just almost posted a similar image of me and my road bike, but I opted to post a regular shot of hubby and son instead, relegating my own shadow image to instagram! I may post it tomorrow for a laugh. Love this shot.
Wonderful! Golf is the greatest game as it's so many games in one. I once had the soles on my shoes come off on the 8th hole (due to extremeheat when stored), played the nine and then went home.
That is great fun! Summer is not done yet......you don't have to leave the island so soon, do you? Feels like you just arrived! And your tomatoes need you!!
it seems that you only just arrived and settled in. Surely summer isn't over yet is it? Certainly here, I don't feel that it has got into its stride yet. Fun shadow selfie here.
It's been a pleasant summer overall so I'm somewhat sad to hear of school starting. But more surprisingly I'm seeing some of the trees starting to turn colors! I like the shadow/golf/selfie- especially the non-shadowy elements which ground the picture in reality. Fun shot!
Love it Taffy, I often see really good shadow selfies on the golf course (early morning) but am rarely in a position to do anything to record them. I know exactly what you mean about the game though, all four of us played like rubbish last round. Added to which, I got (physically) stuck in a deep bunker, couldn't get out them managed to kinda fall out in a position I could crawl out but unfortunately did some damage to my right (metal) knee and very wonky ankle. More war wounds!
@golftragic Tomatoes are fine -- tons of them changing colors appropriately, but not growing bigger than little cherry tomatoes, except one plant. Oh well...
