I've started doing a neighborhood walk every few days for about a mile. Vast improvement in my hip and opportunities for photographs unique to this time. I'd never even noticed the shadows cast by the elevated train tracks because they are usually covered by cars.
Thanks for all the positive comments on the Blue Angels images!
I love a good shadows shot and this is a great example. Being an optimist, I try to find something positive in any situation, and covid has given us this unique opportunity to see our familiar areas with fresh eyes.
Great to hear your hip has improved to that degree Taffy. And so good you can get a photographic record of these extraordinary times in a city like Chicago, unprecedented opportunities for people who can get out there.
Amazing find and capture in this time of isolation ! somehow quite haunting ! - Pleased to hear that your hip is improving - but these things take time - keep smiling through ! fav
I love this! As an avid fan of the hospital drama ER all those years ago, this sight of walking under the El is so iconic to me too. Absolutely love the shadow patterns here. Also delighted to hear your hip is so much better now. Yay!
Happy to know your hip is going better. I think I know this place - and I think the shadows cast by the train tracks were the first thing I noticed there!
Although the circumstances are unusual it really is a plus to be able to take shots like this while the cars are off the road. Love the pattern the El makes on the street- it's like the white line painters just went ballistic!
is this in brooklyn?
