The city has turned green, almost overnight it feels like. The sun shining made the view west fairly clear. I like how this shows the range of architecture visible -- from a granary (that was destined for "development" before Covid) to some pretty amazing churches. At the horizon, we can see O'Hare airport traffic control tower. And I did like seeing all the green.
Such a beautiful city. San Antonio made their abandoned quarry into a spectacular multi use development. Your grain silos and surrounding land will be fabulous I’m sure.
Wonderful diversity - not one I would picture for Chicago (like I said about yesterday's shot) It's fascinating to see that mch greenery and all the variety
What a contrast in views, west vs. east! I certainly did not expect to see grain silos in the vicinity! Happy the spring has sprung upon you in the second city.
What a different view of Chicago diverse and so different
from your other posts of the downtown..What a wonderful
diversity of views you have of Chicago .
@tosee Our location is unusual as we're one of three high-rise buildings at the western edge of the downtown. East is the lake and the mostly commercial district between us and the lake. West goes across what used to be industrial and low-rise neighborhoods.
After my mother died, Bill continued her annual spring time question -- "Do you know that in Japan there are 30 ways to name the color of green?" Here, I feel like I can begin to see 30 shades of green.

Great view of the city and architecture!
