Butterflies have returned to the island and are flittering about but not holding very still. I used burst and was pleased that one of the series was "postable." The background was distracting so I did a little to soften it using Textures.

Nice capture of this swallowtail. Butterflies are a bit scarce here this year. I think partially because everyone sprays for ticks, and pesticides do not discriminate. Our lawn is 100% organic with lot of clover.
I was looking around my garden yesterday, hoping for a butterfly but there were none. Maybe it being "Flying Ants Day" had put them off! Lovely that you captured an image of this one.
I never have much luck with butterflies, they move too fast for me.
