Comet Closeup, Only 64 Million Miles by taffy

Comet Closeup, Only 64 Million Miles

Another NEOWISE (read that the name stands for Near-Earth Object Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer) image, taken with my telephoto. Tried for more photos tonight but it was totally clouded over, so went back to the shots from Friday. Of course, tonight I was totally prepared and ready, so no sign of a comet or a single star!
Nice

That is so cool…! Only time I saw a comet, in the late 90s, I never even thought about taking a picture… :-/

Beautiful! We tried to see the comet again tonight but there's too much city light and it was behind a telephone pole. We really need to be in the mountains or the desert with darker skies to properly view it.

Wonderful capture, the comet is named after the telescope/satellite with which it was first discovered. I stayed up late on Saturday evening as clear skies were predicted but unfortunately there was too much cloud-cover

Completely amazing. People are going to the top of a parking garage here in Evanston to see it but I would never do that alone in the dark :( You're getting such fantastic night sky photos!
