Just Hanging with the Tree

This image is to finish off August -- 2 months straight of daily posts of Beaver Island scenes. We're hoping to be up here at least one more month, weather and health permitting. I'm not sure what this fungi is, but it looked quite intriguing growing up the tree. This is just one segment of the whole colony.

I don't know what kind it is, but it really does look interesting the way it's growing but draping at the same time! It sounds like you are really enjoying your time there this year, so I'm glad you get to stay a little longer.
