The sun was quite dramatic tonight as it set, before disappearing behind a thin layer of clouds. It looked the way I imagine Mars might look through a telescope.
I took this with a Tamron super-zoom (150-600mm), then cropped it a bit. Hand-held so quite satisfied that it was fairly sharp.
@jgpittenger Exactly...the sky was a 'smokey' gray (not sure if fires or not), but if the sky were exposed to an accurate color, the sun details faded out to a solid blob of color.
