Lake Michigan is cold, very very cold, but this brave young woman was up for the challenge. I just happened to be walking by when she was about to take the plunge. I just loved her sense of joy -- though think she was just a little crazy. Taken on the last day we're expecting it to be above 70 for months to come.
@onewing@homeschoolmom Thanks, as always, for your visits and comments! She was absolutely freezing when she hit the water and climbed out immediately. The air was warmer, but with the breeze, it was still quite a plunge for her to have taken. Definitely NOT swimming weather, unless wearing a wetsuit, despite the warm temperatures that day.
What a surprising image once I realized it was yours and it was taken in Chicago -- because yes, it is very cold in the water! Yet the image works so well for its joy and also for the colors and composition.
