We had a brief visit to the zoo today (about to 8 minutes), before Jim tripped, disclosing his finger and getting several scrapes and abrasions. So, instead of the zoo if was off to the ER where they fixed him up after several hours of various activity. All is well, but the only photo I have to show for it was one from our short time watching the seals engage with their trainers and get some snacks in response. But the up side for Jim is he is relieved of all chores for the near future!
Truth in photography...I added the light rays in post processing -- his shiny coat seemed to cry out for them!
What happens when you disclose your finger?? Remind me not to do this! This seal looks as if he is made of black rock - so shiny. The water looks good too!
love those sharp clear whiskers and the additional rays are very well placed to complete the picture. So sorry to hear about Jim though - sounds most painful.
so glad he's ok .... I think everyone is ready to say "Goodbye 2020". I got one trip to the national zoo before it closed again. You had to go online and reserve a ticket, they were only letting x amount of people in the zoo each day and so much of the zoo was off limits that I just didn't go back. I enjoy all their posts of the new baby panda, a little bright spot in 2020.
