Made cookies to send to my mom who is struggling from a number of age-related things. Very hard to be quite far away at any time, but especially currently. She was an incredible baker and used to send by brothers and me care packages, starting in college but continuing even when we were well into our 60s and she in her early 90s. Now it is at least something I can do for her from a distance.
well they look delicious. sorry to hear that your mum is struggling - how lovely to be able to do something for her. but so hard to have to stay away :(
What a lovely thing to do, these are especially tough times for those who are struggling and could do with a loving arm around them. I am sure the cookies will be a great second best. They look delicious.
These look delicious and I am sure your mum will love them! How lovely she sent food parcels to you for all those years! What a lovely mum! A precious memory for you!
One must always have a taster ! They look so homely and moreish ! A lovely shot and I am sure your Mum will appreciate them , not only the delightful cookies but the fact you have made them for her ,,,
That is a lovely gift to send, especially as it was one way she sent you love and thoughts in your young 60s (and earlier). They will be well-appreciated, I am sure. xoxo
Aw, that's lovely - and how nice that you can return the favour from all those years ago. I'm sure your mum will really appreciate it. A delightful image of these tasty looking cookies.
@jgpittenger I ate more than I should have but mailed off all that would fit in a medium size click-n-ship container! So most went off that way...I was going to give the rest to our door staff, but uh-oh...put them in a cookie jar instead.
I'm sorry your mom is struggling, and you're right, it's a hard time to be so far away. Maybe after your vaccines you can go out for a visit. The cookies look delicious and tempts me to start baking at this late hour. I'm curious -- did you use your photoshop skills to put that cookie with the bite out of it in its position?
