Not a Close Encounter (Thank Goodness!) by taffy

Not a Close Encounter (Thank Goodness!)

At the Alligator Farm, you can see both alligators and crocodiles. I think this is a croc because of the narrow nose. The easiest way to tell is the crocs have a clear smile, but of course, here it's hidden. Thanks for the wonderful response to the birds on a wire! Much appreciated.
Great pov

Shudders. Love these beasties but never forgot seeing them in Queensland Australia (salty crocs) because of the way they suddenly rushed out of the water at the keeper and you hadn't even seen they were there hiding!

I heard about a croc today who'd had a tire round its neck for six years (?!) until some intrepid guy managed to trick it and get the tire off!

Great shot. Did you hear them slap their tails while you were there. It can scare the heck out of you if your not expecting it.

Excellent shot. I see you were in no danger thanks to your long focal length lens.
