Photographing Rome's architecture is a challenge. I felt a tension between wanting my own image of some of the amazing places versus feeling these images have already been taken so wanting to get some detail instead. Here, the conventional won out over anything imaginative. Architectural images kept drawing me in, even when not strictly on a photo walk.
Fav. St Peter's is an astonishing place of worship. Stunning architecture and all forms of art. I like how you captured this, going straight to the church rather than including the gorgeous square and steps.
I get why you would want to take these images for yourself. I am sure you will find your own balance of conventional and creative. It would be a shame though not to have the classical architecture in there is all it's glory as you have shown here. The quality of your photographs will win over most of the others!
