On yesterday's whale watching trip (just getting to sorting out the photos from it today), we were visited by a pod of three juveniles who came quite close to the boat. One was particularly curious and kept trying to lead the others to us, but then one of the others would cut him off and 'suggest' he move away. This went on for almost 45 minutes. It was truly amazing to be this close to such amazing animals. Of course, I only was quick enough to get the downward side of any breach!

Great capture. We went whale watching off California about 10 years ago and I came back with a roll of film containing 36 photos of sea where a humpback whale had just been! Hope you've had a great trip
