For my get-pushed challenge this week, Frank @frankhymus challenged me to photograph a lovely flower in b&w. I think there is no flower as beautiful, delicate, and complex as the columbine. Minimal processing using Silver Efex Pro to convert from color.
It's also b&w Wednesday, at least for a few more minutes!
@yaorenliu Thank you, Yao. You are right about the lighting -- it was a very bright day and I went out about 4:00 in the afternoon when the sun was on that section of the garden. Then, I used a low ISO to try to keep the image as clean as possible. @kimshots Thanks Kim -- it was a Silver Efex -- good eye! I think it was the art processing with some adjustments then made in Aperture to get the contrasts the way I wanted them to look. Most of my b&w I start with in Aperture to get the color version with the contrasts I want, then go to Efex to get the b&w style I want, then back to Aperture for final adjustments.
@busylady Thanks so much for the fav! Tag me if you use the processing -- I'd love to see what you do and don't want to miss it in the home feed. @svank16 Thanks Savanna!
@danielwsc Thanks for the fav and all the views, Daniel -- I really appreciate it as I know it takes time!! I'll stop with individual thanks now -- know how much I appreciated all of them!! And I didn't view in order so there may be thanks in later photos...sorry!

Thank you so much for visiting my extras album! I know that takes extra time. Thanks for such positive comments about the image, and to Kazzy, Gerry, Trudi, and Yao, thanks for the favs!
@svank16 Thanks Savanna!
