Beaver Island Gardens is a nursery created by Heidi. The island residents, especially the seasonal ones, were thrilled that she opened her business, and it's been fun to watch it grow. She now has the most amazing gardens behind her house and the greenhouses on her property. Since I have more bad luck than good with plants, Heidi had agreed to start some lettuce for me, growing it in my pots but in her greenhouse. Today was the big day to pick it up -- it looks great. She invited me to photograph whenever I'd like and it was great this afternoon -- bees, butterflies, flowers, bugs, herbs. I know this is a pretty busy image but I liked all the colorful patterns in nature that it showed.
Thank you all for visiting my extras album and saying such nice things about this shot. I was excited to see it on my computer when I downloaded as so many times when I take a butterfly, it's blurry even when it doesn't look it in the camera viewer. So thank you so much! And a special thanks Jo, Harry, Alia, LaKruijf, Diana, Gerry, and Pam, for faving it.
