If you have to turn a year older, celebrating with good friends in Santiago is a good way to experience it. Our dinner choice (my choice, actually) was a restaurant with chocolate in the title (Like Water for Chocolate) so we couldn't go wrong. Food was delicious and Jim, with conspirators Junko and Bill, surprised me with a necklace I'd admired. I loved his card which he'd brought with him from Chicago -- really, that seemed pretty amazing! The background of the message (which was created from threads) was a map, which was perfectly themed for our trip.
