A few of our Canadian friends (such as @radiogirl ) had posted red flowers or other symbols to celebrate Canada's 148th birthday. As one of her neighbors a little to the south, I thought I'd send greetings as well. I seem to be on a flower kick...probably because I spent today processing photos of flowers from the garden shop instead of actually planting the herbs and flowers that arrived today.
@paulaw I usually do too. I learned in this photo that upping the contrast actually softens the reds. Also lowering the highlights helped too. Thanks for commenting on the color as that was the hardest part of processing this.
