What to do when faced with preparing for a presentation tomorrow? Play with potatoes!

Thank you for putting my kitty on PP! I'm so not a cat person (they bring you dead "presents" which freak me out), but I've always envied those of you with cats as they make such beautiful subjects.
Thanks for making me laugh - just what I needed! Just love this Taffy! I am sure you can do your presentation standing on your head! Oh that would make a good selfie! Lol! Fav!
Ok, first of all, this pic made me laugh! Love the toothpick legs! And we have those google eyes with the eyelashes at my school! Makes me giggle! Second, my cats stay indoors and therefore rarely bring me "dead things" there must be another reason you don't like cats. My daughters BF doesn't like them and I've asked many times, he can't give me a good reason why he doesn't like them! They are soo cute!
@dianen Haha!! Really honestly truly -- if they didn't take such pride in dropping carcasses off for their admired owners, I'd love cats!! I live in fear that a creature would get into our house and our kitty would find it and bring it to me -- like drop it where it would touch me in some way. The very act of writing that down is giving me chills! So, while a dog person basically, I have many cat people friends and as soon as I'm assured that there are no dead creatures in their mouths, I love petting them and playing with them! I admit -- it's paranoia or psychotic or something, but that's the whole truth!
Ha-ha-ha, a got a good laugh out of this great fun shot Taffy. Love the expressive eyes on the spuds. Cats? Nah, not for me. They're pretty but selfish animals and deadly killers. Cats round here must be confined from dark till daylight to protect the critters.
Always good to play with photos when there is work to be done. I call it 'WABbing' where WAB stands for 'work avoidance behaviour'! And what a fabulous result and story.
@dibzgreasley Haha! I now have it half-done and have been telling myself tomorrow will be fine because I work well under pressure! Every time I finish a slide or conceptualize a section, I reward myself with a photo to process!
@taffy Sounds spookily familiar! My intention today was to get to work early (7:15) and make some progress on a few papers I am writing. Guess what, I read and edited one page and now I am back on 365!
Anyway, hope you get it finished and don't have too much stress!
@dibzgreasley Oh, I can definitely relate! At least mine has to be done tomorrow at 4:00! And it will all be over by 7:00. My former dean is now dean at a local university so this is an invite from her. Not a big talk, but I don't want to let her down! Hoping not many folks show up!!
Well, I've read the commentary on the shot you say the presentation went well, so telling you to incorporate the potato pictures into the presentation won't help now. sigh.... oh well! Funny shot- but don't these little taters will have nightmares from that picture of the crock pot in the background?
Anyway, hope you get it finished and don't have too much stress!
The story about the deep-fry cooker must be the scariest...
