It was an amazing day today -- 50 degrees (F, not C), sunny, blue almost cloudless skies. @ukandie1 had a great walk and were treated with quite wonderful reflections in the Chicago River. Taken from the bridge at Lake Shore Drive, looking west toward the city. Side note...the townhouses on the right beneath the skyscrapers are the ones I would choose to live in if $ were no object!

Wonderful composition, Taffy. The river tells the temperature, the sky and colour of the sunshine tells the time of year, even the sharpness of your focus tell the clarity of the atmosphere. All beautifully processed.
Yep, that would be a great place of residence. how fun to have a friend to wander with! this is a great composition....a parting of the water with lined buildings is so nice

Wonderful vertical lines and reflections. I like the curve of the river, leading the eye right down to the high-rise in the downtown area. What a gorgeous day you guys had yesterday. Perfect for a photowalk.
Impeccable taste in housing Taffy, I like that. Pity about the price-tag though. I think this shot is a real ripper, it's got pretty much the lot. The view is interesting in itself and the conjunction of the natural beauty of the river and reflections with the angular lines of the man-made (PC term, human??) structures is very appealing. That sky gives a perfect backdrop too. Definitely a fav for me, this is a top shot.
@golftragic Thank for all the kind words and analysis! It was one of those shots (actually I had about 5 from that area that I really was pleased with) that I felt very fortunate about -- this kind of weather creates this scene once in a blue moon.
