After the first set of horses went by, I could see another rider in the distance so decided to wait. When he went by, he greeted us and even said he'd stop for a photo. The posed one was not nearly as interesting, to me, as this candid. He had such a classic look about him, and I liked the horse in action. @vignouse Thanks! I didn't know this was called three-quarter back lighting. The morning light here is quite lovely...even though it's hard to get up for it.
@Weezilou Thanks Louise -- his face had so much character, I'm glad you feel this worked out. I wanted to do justice to him especially since he was so nice about being willing to stop and pose when he saw me snapping away.
