I was craving a little color in this month of b&w. Taken from the Green Line Morgan Street station which is my current stop for getting to our rental in Fulton Market. @ukandie1 made a comment that inspired this shot, noting that the skyline has changed a lot just in the past year. These three main buildings did not exist in our skyline a year ago. The foreground one is a rental residence, the two in the background are office/commercial buildings.
I'm running out of superlatives for your Chicago cityscape shots Taffy. I like this photo very much, the train gives such a good sense of place and scale to the shot and the three buildings are a wonderful counterfoil to the old technology of railways. Love the way you've caught the light on the lines too.
What a stunning image Taffy! The colour is so welcome! I am feeling the need after all this b&w! How quickly the Chicago skyline is changing! Love your POV and the train with its lights just adds to the image! Huge Fav!
@vignouse There was a long drought here of construction starting around 2009, and all the building going now seems to be in response to a shortage that period of stagnation caused. Hard for us to figure out how they'll ever fill all the buildings.
