Lily Feels Surreal by taffy

Lily Feels Surreal

An image I came across from a Brooklyn (NY) Botanic Gardens visit in 2015. After a major "seeing to" (as Marnie @golftragic would say) with Topaz Glow 2 with some fine turning in Lightroom, this is where it ended up. In extras album since I'm still committed to Flash of Red 2017.
This one, actually, looks stronger against a black background.
Great processing, I really like what you have done here.

@taffy Thanks Taffy, I pinched it from Jamie Oliver who uses the term in quite a different culinary context but it seems to fit in our context too. On the subject of language, I found it very refreshing to see surreal used correctly. It seems to have become one of those verbal chewing-gum words that is used to cover many things, and has little substance.

Love that effect! I may have to check out yet another Topaz application. :-(

MUST be viewed on black - it fairly leaps off the screen.

Forget about coming to Brisbane. We may be hitting up on you for a grand tour of Chicago sometime in the next 12 months.
Rohan and Sally are moving from Washington State to Naperville in March and provided Nanna doesn't have any major health issues, we will be coming over to visit them.

@terryliv That would be great!! If it's after October, we may even be in our own place at last (great rooftop views for night and day skyline shots). Naperville is an easy train ride in and out of the city. Keep me posted -- my email address is teraphael 'at' gmail 'dot' com.
