When Photography Feels Like Work by taffy

When Photography Feels Like Work

No need to comment...more a document shot to remind my to say 'no' next year to photographing the tour officially! This is a small portion of photos already processed. Still many to go, then have to create the collage for each host, and have printed and framed.
So that does look like a lot of work, my goodness.

The shots look fabulous, so much variety. It does sound very time consuming though. Hope you were well rewarded ;-)

Oh, this looks like a lot of work, but successful work! Wonderful!

that looks like a veritable torrent of work, taffy. but how lucky are they to have had you as the official photographer :)

Holey Moley, what a task you took on Taffy. I didn't realise that there was so much work involved, it's a huge ask of any one person.

You have some great shots there but what a task! Makes my first wedding shoot today feel so much easier.

You know I was looking into maybe selling some of mine and attended a craft fair to get an idea. I saw how much inventory they had and how exciting it was to sit andc wait for someone who showed interest that I decided not for me. Photography brings me joy and I didn't want to lose that. If i go ou on a photo ride and come back with nothing but lousy pictures no pressure but if you are selling must be awful. Hey retirement should be fun.

Wow! That's certainly a lot of work!!!!

Wow, what a task you set yourself.

Wow, wonderful pictures, Taffy. Looks like you are working hard at the project.

Wow...this seems quite a large undertaking, but such a nice idea. Very lucky gardeners to have such a talented photographer providing such individualized collages.
July 27th, 2018
wow that is a lot of work
July 27th, 2018
how many hours so far?
July 27th, 2018
@adi314 8 hours for the event itself; easily 10 hours of processing time so far. Still have another few hours to finish processing, then organize into three categories for each stop: garden, decoration, people. Then meet with the organizer for her input into the photos to put in the gift collages. Make the collages and order them and frames. So, another week of work probably before it's done. They are giving me enough to cover some of the cost of ordering the photos and frames, but probably not enough to cover the full cost.

Taffy. This is an enormous task you have taken on. It's a wonderful idea and I only wish I could come and admire your work!

So much work, I can tell here just to show us these lovelies. This is a beautiful collage & even though they are individual pictures they all slot together nicely without discord. Colours & light make this a fave for me.

Oh my, so much work
July 27th, 2018
I hope they know just how fortunate they are to have you doing all of this for them Taffy. I am quite sure the results will be much loved and admired. But what a lot of work. I don't think people realise that it isn't just a question of taking a few shots and then getting them printed. Well done for your generosity . Look forward to seeing more of what you took.

Your photos are wonderful. Every garden owner will be overwhelmed with your final collages, I know.
July 27th, 2018
Goodness.... I hope they at least give you a bottle of wine for it:)

Good grief - what a job. They are very, very lucky to have you to help them out. Great photos - but you must have been exhausted at the end of the day. :)

This is what doing sports photography feels like for my kids' teams sometimes. I hope they do appreciate your generosity and excellent skills! Great collage.
