Fog Cuts Across the City by taffy

Fog Cuts Across the City

Two versions of the same scene, both taken with long lens (one at 450, the other at 240mm) and processed in b&w. I am leaning toward the 450mm version but was curious what others might think so posted both. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Love the layers of this one. Almost surreal.

wow that eerie!

Wonderful, wonderful, looks like the building far right is floating in mid-air.
June 8th, 2019
That looks so amazing, fabulous shot.

Wonderful~

Wow, love the depth. Amazing shot, and b&w was a great choice

Quite eerily surreal

Another stunning image! I have always wanted to see an inversion like this - must be amazing to actually see it! Were you above the fog in your apartment?
June 8th, 2019
they're both wonderful images but i think i just prefer the context in this one - amazing sight
June 8th, 2019
I think I prefer the context in this one too, as it's almost more surreal
June 8th, 2019
Both fab shots, but this one tells more of a story in itself where in the other one you are wondering where this building is (on the top of a mountain?)
June 8th, 2019
Wow! That's a hard choice. I like both.
June 8th, 2019
Wow, this is great. I like both of your shots but I think this one tells the story a little better.

Amazing capture...such an atmospheric capture

Fabulous capture. Fav!! 😀
June 8th, 2019
Wow! A modern fairytale :)
June 8th, 2019
Sheer magic:)
June 8th, 2019
Wow a building in mid air... just seen both of them & cant decade either but I’m leaning to this one simply because the fog divides the buildings.
June 8th, 2019
This looks magical
June 8th, 2019
I like this one too! The skyscraper seems to be floating!
June 9th, 2019
Love this one as well! Why do we have to choose:) I vote for both!
June 9th, 2019
Castle in the sky hovering over the city...in the beyond, beyond
June 9th, 2019
one would think that as i see this kind of images most of the time while at the office that i would be tired of it. but of course not! i like both captures, the 400 has a fairytale-ish quality to it, while this one puts it more in perspective. aces on both, miss taffy!

Awesome picture.
June 9th, 2019
I prefer this one because to me it makes the whole scene surreal
June 9th, 2019
Fabulous csene and shot.
June 9th, 2019
Both great shots but I prefer this one, it gives more perspective.
June 9th, 2019
I love them both and think they tell two different stories if that makes sense .
June 9th, 2019
This has quite a surreal feel to it. I think I would prefer it to the other - if it did not have those other two buildings also up above the clouds. With them there I think I like the magical otherworldly image better. :)
June 9th, 2019
Wonderful shot
June 9th, 2019
amazing capture
June 10th, 2019
I know this scene is real- but it looks like a composite gone bad with the buildings so disjointed. It's still an excellent shot but it really plays tricks with the mind! So I go against the masses in preferring the other but like them both.

Tom
Taffy I like both of them but I prefer this one because the other buildings in the foreground give it the city context
June 11th, 2019
It maybe because I have already been admiring Junko's version and this is so different, that I instantly love this one of your two.
