Two versions of the same scene, both taken with long lens (one at 450, the other at 240mm) and processed in b&w. I am leaning toward the 450mm version but was curious what others might think so posted both. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Another stunning image! I have always wanted to see an inversion like this - must be amazing to actually see it! Were you above the fog in your apartment?
Both fab shots, but this one tells more of a story in itself where in the other one you are wondering where this building is (on the top of a mountain?)
one would think that as i see this kind of images most of the time while at the office that i would be tired of it. but of course not! i like both captures, the 400 has a fairytale-ish quality to it, while this one puts it more in perspective. aces on both, miss taffy!
This has quite a surreal feel to it. I think I would prefer it to the other - if it did not have those other two buildings also up above the clouds. With them there I think I like the magical otherworldly image better. :)
I know this scene is real- but it looks like a composite gone bad with the buildings so disjointed. It's still an excellent shot but it really plays tricks with the mind! So I go against the masses in preferring the other but like them both.
