With my birthday coming up, I realized that either my life is wonderful or terrible. The reason I say this is because a friend asked me what i wanted for my birthday and i could only think of three things...
1. a fan
2. a specific toy for my dog
3. some flea repellent medicine for my dog
Not the most glamorous of gift requests are they?
Granted if the rule of a present is "something that you would never get yourself" than these presents fit that perfectly. With the hot weather already upon us, i always hear the chatter that fans save a lot more electricity than A/C, but I've never had the fan(s) necessary to test this out.
As you can see my dog's toy is pretty beat up. There is a very nice toy that I want her to have, but as it's a bit expensive, I think she really wouldn't know the difference from cheaper toys.
Finally i put the insect repellent on her a few days ago, only for her to get super dirty two days later and need a shower. I'm thinking a lot of it washed off and she needs some more, but I'm also thinking she just needs to learn a lesson about not getting dirty for a few days after getting the liquid on her. Granted you may think she wouldn't understand this, but as the months go by this dog is getting cleverer and cleverer, it's actually kind of disturbing.
But still, kind of boring presents right, and two of them aren't even for me. On the one hand i think wow my life is good cause there is nothing i really need or want. Everything i really want, i can get myself. On the other hand, it's kind of boring that i don't want anything special. I mean I could say I really want roundtrip tickets to go to japan and stay with my friend for a few months and see what it's like to live in japan, but that also brings up a lot of extra problems, like getting somebody to watch my dog.
Anyway, that's the list, I'll put it out there for the world to deliver. Besides, how could anybody say no to that poor girl with an old toy.
