Me In Three Years

People always ask me, "Hey your Chinese is improving so much, you must be studying so hard, but how come you are also in such great shape!?" Well imaginary person, the answer is simple. I feel that to be a good student you must not only exercise your mind, but also your body. Therefore I do at least an hour of exercise at home everyday.

My routine involves about 20 minutes of cardio, 20 of yoga, and 20 of weight lifting. It's a pretty good way to get rid of the stress that studying chinese can cause. Also it's the one time I allow myself to watch tv and/or movies. This is also a crafty way i get myself motivated to exercise each day cause I'm always anxious to watch my favorite shows.

I am thinking of joining a gym though. Although I'm always hesitant as the internet in taiwan is full of people trying to sell of their old gym and yoga memberships. And I can come up with a lot of excuses for not taking the subway far away to go exercise at a busy gym.

Thankfully there is a small local gym near my apartment. Photographed above is their sign in front of their gym. While i definitely don't want to look like any of those guys up there, I wouldn't mind being as muscular as some of those ladies. And it would be nice to have somebody who knows what they are doing to guide my workouts.

But what about my hour of tv everyday? Life is ful of hard choices...my health, or my sanity.
