Three Different Types Of Places

Going to keep this one short as I'm assigning outside reading for this one. Here is a far shot of that market/theatre (it's actually inside the courtyard of sorts, of that small apartment building). In the foreground is a pretty nice park that has a running track and a playground for children. It was just recently made and I remember when I first exited the theatre and noticed this park I felt kind of shocked. It's a hard feeling to explain but I just felt kind of angry that there could be something so nice right across from where people live difficult lives. Not that the park is undeserved, just feel like if the money is going to be spent, why not spend it on helping the people first.

On a somewhat ironic note, I have heard that the very tall building in the background is also completely empty. Apparently it was being financed by a few different companies, and then there was bickering between them and one group ran out of money, so the construction just stopped. Outside it looks complete, but the interior is not done. I'm somewhat curious to check it out, and see if there if anybody is living in there. Taiwan has a large number of abandoned buildings, and to my surprise many of those that I've explored, do not have people living in them. Which makes this market, all the more unique.

Anyway, for your outside reading. Anybody who is a consistent reader of this blog would love to read the following story written by somebody who recently visited this theatre. His article is much better written than mine, and has some incredible shots. So much so that I even considered not talking about this place at all, as he pretty much covered it all. Anyway, definitely check it out for yourself....
