Wow this is amazing! I think you should enter it in the new - Eye of the beholder challenge. Personally I always thought flies were very ugly - but I can't believe how good this one looks!!

I know what sort of fly it is; it's a Golden Head Rutilia Fly. Just wondering whereabouts you live in relation to where I am (on mid-north coast of NSW, near SW Rocks).
