Lawn moth

photo 64
While walking in grass, I noticed these dullish white moths jumping out from under my feet and quickly landing a few feet further. I just had to get a close up to see what they were. They are called lawn moths or sod webworms. The literature on the web calls them pests... I call them cute espetially when you see them up close through a good camera lens. I love the hairy snout and the big eyes.
