Chattahoochee Wildlife

We went on another walk in the woods and came across all of these creatures.

Top row l-r: Red Tailed Hawk eyeing a squirrel's nest and eventually attacking it - very cool!
Black Racer Snake (non-venomous)
Bottom row l-r: Eastern Garter Snake (non-ven) and a Great Blue Heron.

I couldn't decide which to post so made it into a collage to share.
Awesome shots! Wonderful collage! Amazing you got to see these on your walk!

A most successful walk today! I seem to flush out the heron frequently, just not spot them before they take off! Well caught.

What a great collection of shots. I'm not a big fan of snakes so a walk there would be a little disconcerting for me!!!

The garter snake is so pretty! So is the blue heron. We see snakes (highly venomous) here but there's no way I would see two in one afternoon... or even one!
