This was a surprise crop, as the seeds didn't seem to take and I planted over them. Were we surprised when this plant started growing bulbs! This is a first...first time growing cantalope and the first cantalope picked! Yum :)
Homegrown does have a bit of a different taste, but good nonetheless. We were so excited about this one that I literally brought it in, washed it, cut it up and we ate it. I will let the next one sit a day or two to see if it makes a difference in the taste, as this one wasn't as sweet as I had expected.
