I was about to sit down to have a snack, and this lovely light was coming in through the window. I quickly grabbed something to make a shadow for a photo.
Continuing with my quest to explore every setting on my camera, I explored the P setting, today. It isn't even described in the manual. I had to look it up online. I think P is going to be my go-to exposure mode for a while.
@tdaug80 I know that you are exploring your camera. Digital Photography School https://digital-photography-school.com/ is full of tips and tutorials. It's a wonderful community of photographers. I also watch videos at B&H Event Space.
@truble Digital Photography School is how I ended up starting this project. They have lots of good articles. I've also tried some of the creative exercises on B&H's site. DPS might have been where I got the idea to try out every setting on my camera.
@truble These are the B&H exercises that I mentioned. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/explora/photography/tips-and-solutions/13-creative-exercises-photographers
I've tried the "Two Dozen" exercise a couple of times. You certainly don't come up with two dozen good photos, but you would be surprised at what you come up with when you are forced to find 24 unique photos from one spot. I allow myself to pivot in place, so I do not strictly adhere to the "without moving your feet" rule.
