Yesterday was birds. Today is bees. The bees are not nearly as fast as the swallows, but they still don't hold still for long. I was using my long lens with the macro extender. Given the shallow DOF with that arrangement, I chose to use a tripod. All that planning was sound until my subject kept moving around.
