OK, I'm pretty sure that is a weed. Several years ago, I interviewed a college student for a job. He was working on a project that analyzed camera images using Fourier transforms to distinguish weeds from crops. The application was to allow farmers to more precisely apply herbicide to kill weeds. Weeds tend to have more high-frequency content from jagged edges in their leaves.
