"Ironman...Ironwoman "...

hundreds of iron men and women took part in today's Ironman Triathalon event at Cairns ... the swimming leg covered 3.8km ...the run 42.2km...and the cycling course was 180km....a big day for some including this lady cyclist..must say that I was certainly glad to be a spectator ....

A great achievement to all that compete in these events.. my daughter has done Triathalons but is now specializing in Trail running and Ultra Marathons .. which was running 80k's through the bush.. This is a great shot.

@tellefella Find out if he is Jonno from Tongala - a long time ago! And you'd have to say Gilbert, not Wood for him to have any memory! My brother in law found him several years ago and I'm sure he said he busked in front of Maccas. We have occasional contact with his sisters. Hope you're having fun up in the sun :)
