Get-pushed-96

For my push this week from @oksana, Oksana Vejus, who challenged me to get a portrait of a person and show the essence of them without showing their face. This is my very good friend, Beth, who absolutely spends way too much time on her i-phone. She is addicted to it. Drives me nuts! When a group of us ladies go out for dinner or to the pub, I make her put it away. She probably thinks the same about me and my camera. The funny thing was that we went on a cruise last year and she left her phone at home accidentally. Took her days to wind down and realise that the world was still spinning without her constant Facebook and texting input. Sorry to say I just giggled at her predicament. Hey, that's what friends are for, right?

And I returned my lens today and got a refund. Wankers!
@oksana Here is my response to your push this week to have me take a portrait and without showing the face, capture the essence of the person. I hope I have managed to do this and by reading the blurb, it helps to put the image into context.

Looks like you've nailed the challenge. The smart-phone says so much about the user.

Like the processing too. My brother and sister in law are terrible for their phones, we got our with them and we are obviously boring them cause they just sit and go on their phone for the evening - have given up going out with them now.
