The weather lately has been horrid with gale force winds that have been strong enough to destroy a few piers along the bay. I walked this pier last summer and was surprised to see that it has been put out of action by the strong winds of the last few days. There is a large barrier at the start of the pier stopping people from getting on it. In the background is the West Gate Bridge and parts of Melbourne. Being on the bridge in this wind would be interesting!
